In Loving Memory ~
Born in Ottawa December 13, 1948, Mary grew up for the most part in Picton, Ontario.
Predeceased by her parents Charity Primrose and Andrew Malcolm Clarke.
Survived by sisters, Anne Jeckel, Colorado and Elizabeth Johnson, Maine; brother John Clarke, Ontario; 8 nieces and nephews and several greats too!
Mary graduated from nursing school at Toronto East General in 1971 and practiced in many areas and hospitals from Picton to British Columbia before retiring in 2010 following 39 years in Nursing.
Mary joined the Royal Canadian Legion in Picton, Ontario and in 1975, transferred to the Bowser, BC Branch 211 where she fulfilled almost every position possible including President for 3 years.
She championed the 211 Lady Lawnmower Rodeo several years in a row! Mary received her Life Membership and 5 years later, her Meritorious Service Medal of Honor. In 2020, Mary celebrated her 45th continuous service year with the Legion.
Bowser 211 was Mary's passion for almost 27 years, and she hopes that with your help, volunteering and commitment to their objectives and purposes, that the branch will continue to be viable and strong for our Veterans, dependents and community's they support for many years to come.
A Celebration of Mary's Life will be held at the Legion in Bowser this coming fall.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Bowser 211 Legion and the North Island Wildlife Recovery Centre in Errington, British Columbia.
