1928-2020 ~ Our beloved mother passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2020.
She is survived by her three children; Jessandra Phillips (Jonathan) of Mayne Island, Andrew Lorimer (Deb) of Comox BC, and Barbara Lorimer of Waiheke New Zealand. Seven grandchildren; Karla (Jeff ), Daniel, (Jessica) Peter (Jessica) Conor, Kiri, Elizabeth, Rosalind. Five great-grandchildren; Ben, Carys, Eleanor, Jonas, and Saoirse. Molly was predeceased by her husband, David, in 2002.
Molly was born in Felixtowe, England in 1928, and had a long career in nursing/midwifery that started in the 50's in Australia and continued in Canada at Vancouver General Hospital and Grace Hospital.
She retired in 1992 and moved to Comox with David, where she was involved in senior peer counselling, tennis, and skiing at Mt Washington. She was one of the original residents of Comox Valley Senior's Village in 2009, where she was well cared for the last 11 years.
Molly will be missed by her family and friends in Comox Valley, as well as in the Lower Mainland, England and Australia. She will also be missed by her Midwifery colleagues and those who were fortunate enough to have her knowledge and caring presence at the birth of their children.
