There, Marie and Lee married. After 5 years in Yellowknife and two children, they left for Calgary, Alberta. There, they were blessed with their third child and after 6 years, they left for BC and settled in Comox. There they were blessed with their fourth child and again, after 2 years in Labrador, they were blessed with their fifth child.
In the early years of Marie’s life, she was involved in her church and taught sunday school. She was also involved with the U.F.W. (United Field Workers) and when called, she would help with Cubs and Brownies.
Marie leaves five children: Carol, David, Jacqueline, Patricia and Douglas; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
A private family service has been held at the Courtenay Foursquare church.
