Grace, dignity and love emanated from Maureen to all who were fortunate to have known her - she was wonderfully kind, considerate, and compassionate to others.
Maureen passed away peacefully on October 9, 2018 at the age of 86. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Predeceased by her beloved husband John, she will be lovingly remembered by her brothers John (Sue) and Brian (Sue), sister-in-law Barbara (Peter), daughter Karen (Brian), son Kevin (Kathleen) and her grandchildren: Trevor (Sharon), Daniel (Laura), Nicole (Jamie), Stephanie, and John, her great-grandchildren (Owen, Alex & Aila), as well as her extended family and friends in the UK and Australia.
Many families were the recipients of her exquisite knitting, especially her wonderful baby sweaters. The latter part of her life included living with Karen's family in Courtenay and Kevin's family in Victoria - precious time spent with grandchildren which will forever shape their lives.
A service will be held at Oak Bay United Church, 1355 Mitchell Street, Victoria, BC on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at 2:00 pm.
