Passed away peacefully December 11, 2006 at Eden Care Home in Chilliwack, B.C. Maurice was the youngest of eight children. He was born in Ponteix, Saskatchewan on July 11th, 1917. He was predeceased by his parents and all of his siblings. He leaves to mourn many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Maurice served his country in the army overseas during WWII. Prayers will be held at 6:00 PM, Thursday, December 14th, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 8909 Mary St., Chilliwack, B.C. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Friday, December 15th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Fr. Justin Huang celebrant.
A Memorial Prayer and Poppy Service with Fr. Paul Murphy of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church and the RCL Branch No.160 Comox will be held at 10AM, Comox Valley Funeral Home, 1101 Ryan Road on Monday, December 18, followed by interment at Courtenay Civic Cemetery.
