It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother and grandmother. She will be missed by her daughters; Mary (Peter), Sheila, grandchildren; Jennifer, Rob (Mandy), Karen and her six great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by her sister, Marguerite and family. Mum was born in Cumberland and grew up at Whyte’s Bay, Comox Lake. She lived for many years in Vancouver and worked in Medical Records, where she achieved the position of Department Head at Shaughnessy Hospital. After retirement, Mum returned to the Comox Valley. An avid gardener and world traveller, she enjoyed life and was always ready for the next adventure. Mum was also very active in the Peace and Environment Movements. Her happiest times were spent with family and her dog Amy, at the family cabin. The family would like to thank Caroline, Dr. Gornall and the staff at Casa Loma and Glacierview Lodge. A family gathering will take place at a later date.
