HEATH - Melvyn John "Mel" of Courtenay, passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital on Friday, May 9, 2008 after a brief battle with cancer.
Mel is survived and will be dearly missed by his family; wife Marianne; son Kerry; stepson Derek; daughter Lorri; stepdaughter Melody; 5 grandchildren; 1 stepgrandson and 2 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter Terri.
Mel will be remembered as an avid fisherman, carpenter and animal lover. Private cremation arrangements entrusted to Comox Valley Funeral Home, Cremation and Reception Centre, 1101 Ryan Road.
