MICHAEL FRANCIS (FRANK) MULLALEY

March 22, 1918 – May 30, 2007

Frank Mullaley passed away peacefully at Glacier View Lodge in Courtenay on Wednesday, May 30, 2007. He was predeceased by his parents Dennis Patrick O’Mullaley and Agnes O’Mullaley (nee Sullivan), sister Eileen Yanan of Chicago, Ill., U.S.A. and brother Pat Mullaley also of Chicago. Frank is survived and will be lovingly missed by his wife Phyllis, his son Michael Mullaley (Anne) of Nanaimo, B.C., his daughters; Teresa Farrington (Stephen) of Campbell River and Heather Gibson of Williams Lake, B.C., his grandchildren; Paul, Pam, Barb and Bryson, great grandchildren; Alysha, Desirae, Cole and Jordon as well as his sister Helen Fritz of Qualicum Beach, B.C. He served during WWII in the tank divisions of the military. Frank worked as a hoistman in the gold mines of Wells, B.C., Hendrix Lake and Westmin. Frank was a Golden Gloves boxer, an avid horseshoe player who won many medals and in his leisure time he enjoyed bowling and reading westerns – he left no Louis L’Amour novel unread. He was our “Big Daddy” who left wonderful letters from the tooth fairy, kept Santa Claus alive for us and entertained us with great stories and songs. Nightie night. No service by request. Arrangements entrusted to COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIUM, 1101 RYAN ROAD, COURTENAY.
