Mike, aged 38, died suddenly and unexpectedly in Victoria on Saturday, August 9th, 2003. Predeceased by his brother Ian and his father Bob, he is survived and will be dearly missed by his mother Marjorie, brother Brian (Carol), nephews Andrew and Derek, and niece Kristen, all of Comox. Mike had spent the last few years in Calgary, recently moving back to Vancouver Island to be closer to his family. He will be remembered as a free spirit, an eternal optimist and one who made many friends. His greatest pleasure was the time he spent cultivating his friendships, many of which he enjoyed for most of his life. A gathering of family and friends in celebration of Michael’s life will take place on Tuesday, August 26th at 1:30 pm from COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 1101 RYAN ROAD, Courtenay.
