Mike passed away at Glacier View Lodge on Friday, January 1, 2010. He is survived by his loving wife Renate; son Ken (Lisa) of Campbell River; daughter Marika Carson (Tim) of Maple Ridge; grandchildren Erika, Matthew, Naomi, Hannah and Abigail and a brother Thimios of Athens, Greece. Mike worked 17 years for the Greek Merchant Marine and 35 years for C.N. Railway as an electrician. He enjoyed refereeing soccer, camping, gardening and photography. A funeral service will be held at the Comox Valley Funeral Home, Cremation and Reception Centre, 1101 Ryan Road, Courtenay on Friday, January 8, 2010 at 2:30pm.
