Mickey Montgomery

Mickey passed away in hospital in Victoria, due to complications following a fall. He was a long time resident of Courtenay.

Mickey was the son of Bruce and Margaret Montgomery. He grew up in West Vancouver. He lived in various places in the Lower Mainland, and in Tahsis, finally putting roots down in Courtenay. Prior to retiring, he had been a log scaler and a heavy equipment operator in the logging industry on Vancouver Island.

Mickey is survived by his daughter Sue Montgomery and her husband David Egan of Vancouver, his older brother Bruce Montgomery of Ottawa, and his sister-in-law Sherry Halls and his brother-in-law Cliff Halls of Hixon, and his grandchildren Stuart Clarke, Gordon Clarke and Joseph Egan. He was predeceased by his twin children, Sean Montgomery and Jayne Montgomery, and his brother Donald Montgomery. Mickey was also predeceased by the love of his life, his wife, Darla.

All of Mickey's friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 13th, 2018 at 11:00 am, at the Elks Lodge, 231 6th Street, Courtenay.
