It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our Mother, Grandmother (Nanny), Great grandmother and dear friend.

Mom was born in Cumberland in 1925, moved to Power House Rd, Courtenay BC as a baby. She married Dad in 1943 they then moved to Victoria of the same year. Mom and Dad moved back up to the Comox Valley in 1956 where she enjoyed sing a long songs around the piano in her younger years. She loved camping out in the middle of nowhere, gardening and baking. Best Butter Tarts EVER!!! Mom's busy life also consisted of working many years in House-keeping at the Fort Hospital in Comox. From there she spent 17yrs working at the HMCS Quadra Cadet Training Center. In her later years she did most of her travelling with her family enjoying Hawaii, a Caribbean Cruise and winters in Arizona. Mom passed away very peacefully in Comox Valley Hospital with her loving family by her side.

Predeceased by her loving husband, John in 1991, also two brothers, Jim Boffy and Jack Boffy who all resided in the Comox Valley. Survived by son, Larry (Vera), daughter Carol and daughter, Lynn (Marc). Nanny is also survived by her grandchildren: Wendell, Sherrie (Ron), Sandy, Lorrie (Jay), Tammy, Mike (Tiffany), her great grandchildren: Alicia (Xavier), Corey (Jackie), Reyna, Haydyn, Ben, Jenna, Hunter, Brodie and many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to our extended family, Albert, Dianne, Jason and Michelle for the love and care you gave to Nanny.

Thank you to Dr. Burg, Dr. McFadden, all the care aides that made it possible for Mom to remain in her own home. Thank you to the wonderful emergency care nurses and the nursing staff on 3B. We are very grateful for the care you gave our mother and the care you showed to our family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mom's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association and/or the Comox Valley Child Development Association.
