January 16, 1943 – November 16, 2016

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Milly Davies, a much-loved wife and mother who passed from this world on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at her home in Comox, BC.

She leaves her husband, Allan Davies; daughter Melanie and husband Dion Cormier; son Everett Davies and wife Kim; son Nelson Davies and wife Shannon; daughter Lori Roudez and husband Craig McDonald; grandsons Morgan, Devon and Ronin.

Milly was born in Carlyle, Saskatchewan January 16, 1943 where she stayed until 1963 when she relocated to Gimli, Manitoba. She then met Allan, who was stationed there with the RCAF and started her new life as a military wife and mother; which afforded her the opportunity to live and travel across Canada, and Germany.

She was an avid athlete who played many sports, but particularly excelled in competitive fast ball as a pitcher, and then later as a much-loved coach of the sport.

When not playing sports she could be found proudly managing her successful car detailing business in Courtenay, BC with her son Everett.

Most importantly, Milly will be remembered as the heart and soul of her family. Although small in stature she was gifted with a larger than life spirit and warmth, and a sense of humor which she used to bring joy to her family and many friends.

Milly was a proud member of RCAF 888 Wing where a memorial service will be held for her in early spring 2017. Details of the service will be provided closer to the date. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations to a charity of your choice.
