Dalziel, Millie passed away in Port Alberni on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at the age of 87 years.
Predeceased by parents Bill and Vera, sister Kate (Sandy), brothers Jack, Bob (Nancy) and Don.
Survived by daughters Jeanette (Arnie) Laverne (Brian); sons Mel (Bev), Brian (Deb); 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews as well as extended family.
Millie was a devoted mother and grandmother who always had an open door for everyone. Her home was the place to "be'' and known for a hangout for all
the family and their friends. Along with the open home came Millie's love for providing large, hearty meals fit for a logging crew - and an endless supply of cookies - for any and all. Millie worked for Kmart in the late 70's and enjoyed the many people she worked with and the people she helped during her time at the store.
A Celebration of Millie's Life will be held in the Spring. Stories and condolences may be offered to the family at www.chapelofmemories.ca
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone at Fir Park Village, along with Dr Johan Smit and Dr Ean Smit, for their care of Millie during her stay there.
