Scottie MacLean, born in Glasgow, Scotland and died after a battle with cancer at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Comox.

Predeceased by her husband, George and infant sons Wayne and George Scott. Survived by daughter Gail Eggiman (Steve) and son Alex MacLean (Debbie); grandsons: Michael Eggiman (Lara), Brian Eggiman and Chad MacLean; sister Christine Downie; and brother Ian McLaren of Scotland; and many nieces and nephews.

Scottie joined the WRAF and shortly thereafter became an RCAF wife and mother in North Luffenham, England. After many moves across Canada and Europe, they retired in Comox. She became famous for her burgers and chips while running Scottie’s Kitchen in the Lorne Hotel. Scottie was dedicated to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 160 and served on the executive to support the Poppy Fund.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, 24 April 2004 at 1:00 PM in the Comox Legion. Donations in memory of Scottie to be made to the Poppy Fund or Royal Canadian Legion Branch #160.
