Murray valued independent thinking, social justice, and protecting the environment.
He lived out his dream of enjoying the beauty and natural wildness of Vancouver Island, on Hornby and Denman Islands, in Courtenay and Victoria; and he especially loved designing and building his unique homes on Flora Islet and Fanny Bay.
Murray is survived by his children Chris & Cynthia, grandson Kieran, and many relatives and friends.
