Myrtle Mary Laviolette (nee: James) who was born in New Brigden, Alberta on April 24th, 1919 passed away in the Cottonwoods Extended Care, Kelowna on March 27th, 2002.
Myrtle was predeceased by her husband William, parents Howard and Wilhelmina, two sisters: Mabel and Katie, brothers: George and Herb, and her son-in-law Erwin Werner. Survived by her loving family: daughter Judy Werner and daughter Valerie (Don) Clark, seven grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and six step-great grandchildren and by her nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 1st, 2002 at 11:00 A.M. in the Church of the Nazarene, Hwy 33, Kelowna with Rev. Gary Nawrocki officiating. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice in memory of Myrtle. The family wish to express their sincere thanks to all the wonderful staff at Cottonwoods Extended Care, Douglas Fir, for all of their compassion and care that was given to Myrtle during her short stay at Cottonwoods.
