It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Nancy Carolyn MacDonald. She passed away on March 23rd, 2009, at the young age of 62. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her adoring son, Chris MacDonald, daughter-in-law Emily Kirzinger, Val Attridge and John MacDonald, brother Gary Crandall and his wife Bev and their children Jodi and Lisa, and the entire MacDonald, Attridge, and Crandall families as well as anyone lucky enough to spend time with her.
Nancy was born in Knowlton, Quebec and moved to Montreal before her adventurous spirit brought her west to Terrace, B.C. and on to settling in the Comox Valley. She was well known for her cheery disposition, infectious laugh and unwavering concern for others. Nancy loved animals and was able to meet many while doing the job she loved at Woofy’s Pet Food Store. Nancy had many friends in the Comox Valley, across Vancouver Island and Canada who will miss her beautiful spirit and wit.
Always one to welcome you in for a chat, to know Nancy was to know how much she loved her son, family and friends. She will be immensely missed, but we are comforted to know her suffering is over.
