OLSON, Nellie Ann
February 16, 1927 ~ May 5, 2011
With deep sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Nellie, on May 5, 2011 at the age of 84. Predeceased by her one and only love of her life “Andy” in 1978, brothers Frank and Joe, sister Helen.
She is survived by her son, Pete (Kelly) Olson of Royston, daughters Karen Olson of Kamloops, Pat (Brian) McCormick of Kelowna, Shirley (Jim) Schafhauser of Armstrong. Her loving sister, Wanda (Al) Taylor and family of Comox, her grandchildren Tyler, Brayden, Jon, Dusty, Terry, Debbie, Michael, Cristal, Jay, Allison. Great grandchildren Lucas, Tiara, Sarah, Ocean, and Colby.
Nellie lived on Texada island from 1961-1981 when she moved to the Comox Valley. She enjoyed playing bingo, going for drives and stopping for lunch, but was happiest at home, working in her garden or visiting with her friends and family. She will be sadly missed.
