Norm at the age of 95 went peacefully to the Lord on January 10, 2019 at the North Island Hospital, Courtenay, BC.
Beloved husband of Margaret "Peggy" (predeceased) for over 59 years and of Marie nee Macmillan (predeceased). Loving Dad of Bruce (Beverley), David (Lois), Christine (John). Affectionately known as Boompa to his grandchildren, Tamara (Braden), Rebecca (Kyt), Laura, Jonathan (Naomi), Ian (Meghan) and Jenna, as well as his three great grandchildren Maggie, Ada and Samuel.
Norm throughout his lengthy and active life from the early years in Souris Manitoba to the different placements and work as a professional engineer with Ontario Hydro, to attending and serving in local church congregations and communities was always known for his care, gentleness, humour and compassion. Numerous friends, mostly younger, made over the years were blessed by his consistent friendship and love.
The family, especially Chris, would like to express their appreciation to Dr J. Reggler and the staff of 3B of the Comox Valley Hospital for the care of their father during this time.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 21, 2019, 10:00 am., at Comox Valley Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre, 1101 Ryan Rd. Courtenay, BC.
