MENEER, Norma Jean
Norma passed away in her home in Courtenay, after a courageous battle with cancer on April 14, 2011. Norma was born July 27, 1938 in Winnipeg, where she worked, met and married Reg Meneer. After retirement in Winnipeg in 1997 they moved to Courtenay.
Norma was extremely proud of her flower gardens, which she spent many days working in. She enjoyed golfing and playing cards, but her passion was curling. She was on many teams which were Zone winners, but her greatest accomplishment was representing B.C. In the Provincial Masters in 2003.
Norma will be sorely missed by her husband Reg and three daughters Jean Katchmar, Mary Anne (Garry), Susan (Ian), eight grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
