Herman, Norma K.

Norma passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s General Hospital. She was predeceased by her brothers: Wally Herman of Comox, Roy Herman of Chilliwack, and Stan Herman of Ontario; and a nephew Bill Herman of Courtenay. Norma is survived by nieces: Rita Louie of Victoria and Larona Herman of Courtenay, great-nieces: Laurie Frame, Carrie Herman, Dayle Louie and Robin Louie, and great-nephews: Stan Herman and Jayson Louie.
Norma started her working life as a bread truck driver, delivering bread house-to-house. She went on to be an NCR machinist and bookkeeper for many years. Music and singing was Norma’s passion. She sang at most of her family and friend’s weddings, funerals and special functions. Norma was a lovely lady who enjoyed life. She “saw the glass as half full” and always had a kind word for everyone. Anyone who met her would remember her sunny disposition and anyone who knew her will miss her bubbly personality.
