April 21, 1942 - July 25, 2021
Pat has been a resident of the Comox Valley a few times over the past 40 years but vowed she would never leave when she moved back in 2007.
Born and raised in Windsor, On. Pat spent a short while in the Royal Canadian Air Force where she met her husband, Grant. They were married shortly after, began their family, and spent 28 years at a few different bases. In Cold Lake she worked in hospitality and then, after Grant retired from the Military, they settled in Edmonton for 16 years where Pat worked in retail and enjoyed spending time with family, particularly her grandchildren.
Pat's passion for cross-stitching was seen in her beautiful work which is displayed proudly on many family walls. She also took pride in the fact that she volunteered as a Leader in the Girl Guides.
Pat had the patience of Job and was extremely devoted and dedicated to her family which was evident in the affection she received in return.
Pat will be lovingly remembered and missed by her husband Grant, her children Shelley, Kevin, Pam and Kim (Joe), her sister Helen, 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, as well as many other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Activity Department at The Views at St. Joseph's would be appreciated.
The family gratefully acknowledges the care and compassion Pat received from Dr. Bakshi as well as all the staff at The Views while in their care.
A small family gathering was held to honour Pat on Saturday, July 31 at Pat's favourite place, Airforce Beach.
