Sep 25, 1994 - Jun 7, 2018
A Light has gone out - It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Paul Voss Stainsby on Thursday, June 7, 2018.

Paul was born in Hay River, NWT on September 25, 1994. And he was the sweetest little baby. He moved from Hay River to Quesnel to Salmon Arm to Richmond before coming to Comox in the fall of 2011 touching hearts and lives along the way with his beautiful smile. Paul proudly graduated from Highland in 2013.

Paul joined the Canadian Forces Reserve in 2012 and was a proud, enthusiastic member of Princess Mary's Canadian Scottish Light Infantry, 6 Platoon, B Company in Seal Bay. Paul was looking forward to his transfer to the regular forces, getting ready to join the Royal Canadian Regiment in Gagetown, N.B. in July.

Paul was a strong loyal friend to many people, both here and away. He could be counted on to be there for others, and he was, many times. His friends gave him love, respect and support in return. He was a compassionate and caring man with a huge heart behind a tough exterior. And great taste in music. If there was a gathering, Paul had the sound track and could sing most of it. Little Bones! The Canadian Forces played a large role in Pauls' life. He was a good, effective soldier and his Brothers in Arms were his family.

He will be hugely missed. His Mum, Lynne Batstone, Dad, Hugh Stainsby, their families, Paul's Aunts and Uncles and numerous Cousins, his many Friends here and away and his Brothers in Arms are all profoundly saddened to have lost Paul.

Beyond the Door, there is Peace.
