August 9, 1919 – April 20, 2013
With sad hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother Pauline. With happy hearts we know she has gone to a wonderful place and can be reunited with the love of her life, Jack (John) Simpson who passed in 1997. She so looked forward to being with him again.
Her passing was peaceful and beautiful with her family by her side throughout, and at this time we would like to say how wonderful the team at Eagle View at St. Joseph’s are. Their compassion, caring and love is truly heartfelt and special. Thank you so much.
Pauline was a very special lady and a lady she was. The Anglican Church was a big part of her life and she was a devoted ACW member and volunteered countless hours. She did a lot of baking as well for them – much to our father’s disappointment as he only got a taste!
Pauline may be remembered for working at the post office on the corner of Church St. and Comox Ave. We still get comments on what a wonderful job she did and how helpful and friendly she was.
Pauline is lovingly survived by her daughters; Barb Simpson and Jan Lindstrom, her sons-in-laws; Sandy and David, her grandchildren; John, Chris and wife Sheri, Samantha and husband Deegan, and her great grandchildren; Taylor, Livea, Kai, Indiana, Bond and Sean and sister, Pearl and husband Eric, and will be sorely missed by all, forever loved and never forgotten.
The one and only thing Mom complained about was the wheelchair – how she hated that darn thing and the loss of independence. So Mom be happy and fly with your loved ones and the angels and we will join you one day to fly with you too.
Her Celebration of Life will be held at St. John’s the Divine on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 3:00PM, with reception to follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the ACW to help with their wonderful work, or to the Views at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Thank you.
