Foolkes, Peter
Peter passed away peacefully at home with his family at his side on August 5th, 2007 at the age of 85. He is survived by four sons: Darryl, Greg, Rick and Michael his daughter Deborah; his grandchildren: Samantha, Joshua, Duston, Sean, Raymond, Heather and Carla and three great grandchildren: Dawson, Shyanna and Halen.
Peter served with the R.A.F. Bomber Squadron (49 Operations) and then with the R.C.A.F. from 1949 ~ 1965. After retirement, he moved to the Comox Valley where he became a prolific artist. Some of his work can be seen today in the Ladysmith Museum and the Comox Air Force Museum. A Celebration of Peter’s life will be held on Saturday, August 11th, 2007 at 12:00 pm at the family home.
