It is with heavy hearts that we announce the untimely passing of our dear Peter. Predeceased by his father Peter Shuya and his brother Jerry Marks, he leaves behind his mother Nelly, sister Bev Lapeire, brothers Cliff Shuya, Ron Shuya (Doreen) and Peter Innes (Claire). Peter also leaves behind nieces Crystal and Jennifer as well as nephews Adam, Randy and Matthew.
In the 1980's, Peter worked in the Canadian Air Force in Badan Badan, Germany and CFB Borden, Ontario. Later, he worked as a Gas Fitter, a Certified Plumber, a Salmon Farm Fishing Technician, and Manager of Valley Self Storage in Comox.
Peter loved living in Comox. He enjoyed going down to A&W on Ryan Rd. every morning with his pals, Bob, Mark and the gang of cohort. He appreciated the staff as they were always polite and gave very good service. He was very opinionated and boisterous when he was trying to make a point. All in all, Peter was respectful, honest, funny, playful and kind.
He deeply loved his family and his hobbies which included hunting, fishing, rock hounding, his gun club, and poker night with the guys.
Private family memorial to take place on a later date. Flowers gratefully declined.
