1934-2021 ~ Peter Patrick Morin lived a full life of adventure, love, and service. Surrounded and comforted by his loving family, he peacefully passed away at his home on August 30, 2021.
Peter leaves behind Beatrice, best friend and wife of 64 years. He is also survived by his cherished daughter Cheryl-Anne (Ted) and beloved sons Marvin (Pearl), Darcy (Rowena) and Dean (Odie). He was predeceased by his younger sister, Valerie.
Born in Revelstoke, BC, he spent the majority of his childhood years on Texada Island. Peter enthusiastically served his country in the Canadian
Air Force for 30 years as an air traffic controller, followed by 8 years as a Captain of the Air Cadet League of Canada. He excelled "shepherding the skies" with over 32,000 safe aircraft approaches. His career involved working in Canadian communities from the East to West to North Coast and his favorite posting in Germany.
Peter valued family. In his retirement, Peter energetically worked at Accu-Tech Torch and Regulator Repair, a business owned by his youngest son, Dean. Kind-hearted with an easy-going manner, he will be remembered for his great sense of humour and fascinating stories.
A celebration of Peter's life was held on September 3, 2021 at Bay Community Church. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 160.
