PHILIP WALLACE

April 14, 1959 - February 6, 2009

Philip Wallace passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on February 6, 2009 at the young age of 49.  He is survived by his loving wife, Shauneen; sons, Philip and William and daughter: Ceilidh; parents, Philip and Agnes Wallace of Oakley, Scotland; brother, Robert Wallace of Jersey, UK and sisters: Elaine (George) Duncan and Sandra Forrest of Dunfermline, Scotland.  He will also be greatly missed by his sisters/brothers-in-law: Lorna Wallace, Brian Seal, Wendy and Craig Newton; Mother & Father- In- Law, Bill & Lois; many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews, both in Canada and in Scotland, as well as his many wonderful friends.

Philip lived for the first 29 years of his life in Scotland, and moved to Canada when he met his wife Shauneen.  He loved his life in Canada, but dearly missed his friends and family in Scotland and always planned to return for a long visit.  He loved all of his family, boating, fishing and horses, as well as his years of work with all of the many great friends he had as a Lineman with BC Hydro and Jaco Powerlines.   Philip was a wonderful husband, loving father and a friend to anyone who met him.  He had a great sense of humor and loved having fun with all of his friends and family.  He is already terribly missed.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2009 at 11 am at Piercy’s~ Mt. Washington Funeral Home.  Reception to follow, location to be announced.
