It is with heavy hearts we announce the loss of Phyllis Doreen MacLean. Known affectionately as "Fluff", she passed peacefully in Comox BC surrounded by her loving family: daughters Sherry and Cindy, sons Donald (Debbie) and Brian. Her grandchildren and great- grandchildren completed the farewell. She was predeceased by husband of 67 years Stan, eldest son Stewart, and Son-In-Law Grant.

Born in Comox to Albert and Rose Phye, she was eldest of 6 children. Elaine, Richard, Douglas, Donald and Dennis. The family were longtime residents of the Comox Valley. Courted and caught by Stan Maclean, they soon had a lively family of five children to keep them busy. Following the Logging Industry all over the Island, in due course they planted roots on the beach at Qualicum Bay. Though this was their home base many good times were spent with friends and family in such places as Scott Cove, Zebellas, Gold River, Horne Lake, Toquart Bay, and throughout the interior of BC.

Fluff's talents were many; a gifted artist as a quilter, and a talented baker and cook. Her kitchen was a popular destination for tea and all manner of goodies. She took great pride in her home and garden. She had a flair for both; and her yard was the envy of many.

What will we miss the most with Fluff gone? Her infectious laugh. Fresh baked muffins with tea. Sausage rolls on Christmas morning. Her love of family. Her patience. Her kindness. We wish her straight seams and tight threads until we see her next.
