Randy Major, age 61, passed away at his home in Marcicopa, Arizona on Saturday, February 16, 2019.
Randy was born on May 8, 1957 in Dawson Creek, BC, to Elmer and Joan Major (nee Adey). Randy's father and mother moved the family to Courtenay, BC on Vancouver Island in 1962.
Randy spent most of his working years in the construction industry. In his latter years, he became a truck driver. He drove over the road for a time before turning to driving for a local gravel company.
Randy moved many times in his life and lived in many different areas of Canada and the US. He seemed to have found his place in Maricopa and lived there for over 20 years before his passing.
Randy was preceded in death by his father, mother and two nephews; David Bowes and Warren Schlamp. He is survived by his partner, Vivan Jones, his five children; Jason Hughes, Christina Sapara (Travis), Ryan Major (Amanda), Corey Major and Kyle Reynolds. Also his seven grandchildren, stepmother Sylvia Major, sisters; Vicki Major (Wayne), Kathy McQueen (Don), Patty Wagoner (Scott), four brothers; Rob Major (Tracy), Rod Weldon (Destiny), Chris Weldon (Cara), Derek Major (Kate); and many many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial/Celebration of Life of Randy at Villas by Mary T at 1576 E. Cottonwood Lane, Casa Grande, AZ 85122 on March 22nd at 2 pm.
