On Friday, May 25, 2007, Major Raymond J. Dunsdon (Ray) of Kamloops, BC passed away bravely with his family at his side. Surivived by his children: Lissi Dunsdon (Tim Broere), Laura Dunsdon, James R. Dunsdon, Jeannie Dunsdon and their mother Mary and his grandchildren: James M. Dunsdon, Chelsea Dunsdon, Thomas Dunsdon and little Ray Broere, all of Kamloops. Also left to cherish his memory are his brother Doug Dunsdon (Gloria) and his sister Marilynn Scott (Ron) both of Summerland. Ray was predeceased by his brother Vern Dunsdon.

Born on May 6, 1940, Ray was reaised on his parents orchard in Summerland. Ray joined the RCAF in 1962, and became a well respected and decorated fighter pilot. He was the last Commanding Officer at CFB Mt. Lolo, alderman of the City of Kamloops from 1988 to 1991 and the first ginseng grower in Kamloops. He was also a proud and active Rotarian. Ray was very committed to his community and will be dearly missed by friends and family.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial celebration of Ray’s life on Saturday, June 2, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the Calvary Community Church, 1205 Rogers Way, Kamloops.
