Rick was taken from us suddenly on June 22, 2006 at the age of 61 years. Rick was very proud of his 35 year and 188 day career with the Canadian Forces retiring in 2000. He was honoured to be awarded the Order of Military Merit and Canadian Declaration for his long military service.
Rick is predeceased by his 6 year old daughter Nicole in October 1975. He will be sadly missed by his loving companion Tracey Lochmanetz, her children Amanda and Matthew, his daughters Roxanne and Andrea, his loving mother Edna Armitage, 3 sisters, 2 brothers and their families and by his many friends. There will be 2 services to Celebrate Rick’s Life, Sunday, July 2 at 1:00 pm at C.F.B. Comox 888 Wing and then on Tuesday, July 4 at 2:00 pm at the Esquimalt Legion.
Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to the B.C. Children’s Hospital. Arrangements for both services have been entrusted to Piercy’s/Mt. Washington Funeral Home and Crematorium.
