1955 - 2016
Richard Wayne James passed away peacefully in his sleep, November 28th 2016 near his home in Courtenay B.C.
Richard was born July 24th 1955, in Cumberland B.C and graduated from G.P Vanier Senior Secondary in 1974. Richard often reminisced about the years he played basketball on the Towhee team, and the fond memories of his team mates.
Richards hard work ethic, sense of humor and easy going personality made him a joy to be around, and he will be missed by all who cared about him.
Richard is survived by his mother, Ruth James; sisters, Norma McDonald (Hugh) and Vicki MacDonald (Lane); and many nieces and nephews and friends. Richard is preceded in death by his father, Richard (“Tucker James”).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Salvation Army. No service by request.
