It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bob Mitchell. Survived by his loving wife Sandy Mitchell, daughter Lorraine (Bill) Bussey of Comox, granddaughters: Cory Childers of Vancouver, Sherri (Mark) Jensen and greatgrandson Matthew Jensen, all of Langley. As well as his stepchildren: Mark Hallam of Montreal and Deborah (Keith) Wakelin of Courtenay.
Bob was born in Edmonton, AB and spent most of his life there. He came to reside in the Valley a little over 10 years ago. He will be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humour, as well as, his love of gardening, baking and volunteering at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
The family wishes to extend its heartfelt thanks to the nurses in I.C.U., the third floor and emergency for all of their care and support.
A Celebration of Life and Poppy Service will be held on Friday, May 6th at 3:00 pm at the Courtenay Upper Legion Hall. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Emergency Dept. of St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bob’s memory.
