Reesor, Robert Miller

Aug 4, 1935 - Sept 19, 2006

It is with great sadness of heart that we announce the sudden passing away of our dad at his Courtenay home at the age of 71. He was born in Markham, Ontario and joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1955. In 1957, he married his wife Lorraine of 49 years. Bob retired to the Comox Valley with his wife and 3 children in 1977 after 23 years of faithful service. In 1980, he completed a power engineering course and continued to serve the Armed Forces as a civilian at the 19 Wing Comox Heating Plant for several more years. In his earlier years Bob was an enthusiastic outdoor sportsman and could often be found fishing somewhere off Bates Beach, but his real love for wildlife was clearly seen during his latter years by the many deer who waited outside his front door for an apple to be tossed their way.

Bob was predeceased 2 months earlier by his wife Lorraine; his brothers James, David, & Ivan; his sisters Catherine, Nancy, & Christina. He is survived by his son Chris (Carol), his daughters Linda (Terry) & Debbie (Rudy); his sister Elizabeth (Frank); 10 grandchildren & 7 great-grandchildren.

Bob was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #17 for many years. A Service of Remembrance in his honor will be held on Saturday, October 7th, 2006 at 1:00pm at the Courtenay Legion, 367 Cliffe Avenue.
