Major (Ret’d)) Robert Reid Levia
Passed away suddenly on Sunday May 17, 2009 at St Joseph’s Hospital. Born in Brockville, Ontario on February 13, 1933.
Bob spend 33 1/2 years as a pilot serving in the RCAF and CAF stationed in Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Greenwood, Nova Scotia, Summerside PEI, Edmonton, Yellowknife, Unmogip (India/Pakistad), two tours in Comox finishing up as CO of CFS Baldy Hughes. He retired to Comox in 1988 where he enjoyed hunting, fishing and travel.
Predeceased by his parents, William Reid Levia and Gertrude Mabel Levia both of Brookville, Ontario.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years Beverly, daughter Brenda (Terry) Edmonton, son Bryan, Whitehorse, son Blair (Alison), Perth, Australia, daughter Beth, Edmonton. Six grandchildren: Amy, Kyle,Brianne, Lauren, Nickolas and Jayden. He is also survived by 2 brothers Ray (Polly) and Terry (Sandy) both of Brockville, Ontario.
A memorial service will be held in early July at 888 Komox Wing of the Airforce Association of Canada.
