IRVING, Robert Wayne

June 21, 1943 ~ August 16, 2010

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Wayne Irving who fought the fight but lost the battle with cancer.

Wayne was born in Sherbrooke, and brought up in East Angus, Quebec. Wayne enjoyed his 42 years of military service achieving the rank of Warrant Officer in the Royal Canadian Airforce. He retired from the Regular Force in 1997 and from Pac Region in 2008.

Wayne had a passion for fishing but particularly enjoyed fly fishing off the beaches at the local fishing spots and was creative at fly tying. He loved the outdoors camping with family telling tall tales around the campfire, hunting and fishing. He volunteered for the Little River Salmon Enhancement Society and acted as President for the association for many years. He has enjoyed traveling to Mexico for winter holidays for the past 6 years.

Wayne will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. He was predeceased by Shirley (mother of his children William, Sherry and Christopher), second wife Patricia, his parents, Robert and Pauline and daughter Sherry. He is survived and will be missed by his wife Linda, children William (Cindy) and Christopher (Vicki), step children Stacey, Melanie, Mark and Darren, grandchildren Kelti, Kirsten, Kyleigh, Lily, Dmitri, Kyle, Ryan, Brodie, Quinton, Chaylene, Rochelle and Miranda, sister Barbara Jean Garvin (Charles) Uncle Bud Hughes, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and his very special friends.
