Robert William Darling
Born July 17, 1929 i Arrowwood, Alberta. Bob passed away peacefully at home December 16, 2009 with his family at his side. Bob was predeceased by his parents James & Hilda and his brothers James and Donald.
Bob was a past member of the Baynes Sound Lions, Volunteer Fireman in Union Bay, served in the Armed Forces and a faithful member of the Canadian Legion. He was a Superintendent for Byrnes & Hall Const. Building homes in the far north.
Owning his own Kenworth, Bob served the oil fields in both Alberta and Saskatchewan. Moving from Edmonton to Union Bay in 1979, he worked for Union Bay Improvement District taking care of maintenance.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Noreen of 62 years, two sons; Bob (Sandra) and Ian, one daughter; Kathy (Ron), 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.
The Darling Family were truly blessed with angels; Dr. Janice McLaughlin & Kathy, Home Care Nurses, Dwayne & Staff at London Drugs, Best Pals Keith, Graham, Ted and Al.
Dad we love you, you will be dearly missed. Rest peacefully in the arms of Jesus.
