ROLF LENNART BRUHN

August 12, 1923 ~ December 6, 2007

Rolf Lennart Bruhn passed away in Comox, B.C. on December 6th, 2007 at the age of 84. He is survived and will be greatly missed by his good friend Barbara Kelly, ex-wife Florence, his son Reine Bruhn (Michelle) of Bowser, B.C., his daughters; Kim (Mike) of Courtenay, B.C., Jane (Lloyd) of Port Coquitlam, B.C., and Karen (Bill) of Nanaimo, B.C., his grandchildren; Ariel, Aaron, Ashley, Spencer and Jared, his brother Reine Hallner (Inger) of Sweden, his sister Gunbritt Hallner of Sweden as well as his nieces and nephews Monika, Matts and Susan.

Rolf served in the Australian Army during World War 2. He was a member of the Elks and the Legion. Rolf worked as a taxi driver for Johnson’s Cabs then City Cabs in Courtenay and then as an engineer for BC Ferries on the Powell River run - the job from which he retired. In his leisure time Rolf enjoyed stamp collecting, hockey, model trains and fishing. He was a most unique individual.

Private arrangements entrusted to COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION & RECEPTION CENTRE, 1101 RYAN ROAD. Donations in Rolf’s memory made to the SPCA for all the troubled animals or the Children’s Hospital would be appreciated.
