Sep 27, 1929 - Feb 7, 2018
Ron Dalziel passed away with family by his side, on February 7th 2018 at Trilliam Hospice in Parksville.

He was born September 27th 1929, in Victoria, to Jim and Eunice Dalziel, and was raised on Denman and Hornby Islands. Leaving school at a young age he started working on fish boats, later moving into the logging industry and land development for a long successful career.

Ron had a wonderful sense of humor with a great knack for storytelling. He truly lived life to the fullest and, as it states in the title of his memoirs, "It was Quite a Performance."

Predeceased by his sister Necie Strachan, brothers-inlaw Harvey Strachan and Walter Schmidt, wife Molly, and companion Dianne Dragon, Ron is survived by companion Anne Cross, sister Betty Schmidt, exwife Millie and their daughters Jeanette (Arnie) Rist, Laverne (Brian) Voysey, sons Mel (Bev), Brian (Deb), nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

For those who wish, a charitable donation may be made in Ron's memory to the Ladies Auxiliary Trilliam Hospice, 401 Moilliet Street, PO Box 940, Parksville, BC, V9P2G9.

Family, friends and others whose lives Dad touched are invited to the Parksville Community Centre, 132 Jensen Ave. E, Parksville from 1:00 to 4:00 on Friday, March 2nd, to reminisce, celebrate his life and, of course, tell stories!
