Ronald (Hallsie) passed at Glacier View Lodge on July 20, 2019.
Ron is survived by his brother Cliff (Sherry) Hixon, BC, brother Donald, son-in-law Rick Senuik, 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 4 nephews and 1 niece. He was predeceased by his wife Donna, mother Lydia, father Leslie, daughters Shirley Ann and Brenda Lee.
Ron was son of Les and Lydia Halls. He was born in Vancouver and lived most of his life in Courtenay, BC.
Ron was a logger his entire life, having started working at the age of 15 for Elk River Timber. He worked at various camps on Vancouver Island and the coast, finally retiring from McMillan & Bloedel, Kelsey Bay division in 1997.
Ron loved fishing, travelling, country music but most of all hanging around shooting the bull with his logging buddies. He had been actively involved over the years in the Four Square Church and Aaron House Christian Fellowship. Thank you to Glacier View Lodge and Dr. Swanson for their support and care.
