It is with great sadness that we announce Ron passed away peacefully at his parents home after a short and courageous battle with brain cancer.
Ron was born in Kirkland Lake, Ontario on March 19, 1971. His family moved to Campbell River, BC shortly after he was born.
After attending High School at Southgate Ron had jobs working at Raven Lumber and commercial prawn fishing on the West Coast. In 1992 Ron moved to the Comox Valley where he worked at the Courtenay Recreation Centre as a Custodian. Ron's biggest joys in life were his family and friends.
He loved the outdoors, his favourite hobbies were camping, fishing and hiking. He loved to play his guitar and listen to his collection of Classic Rock music. Ron took great pleasure volunteering his time with special needs children.
Ron is survived by his parents, Gil and Marie, brothers Rick (Teresa), Ted and his sister Barb (Norm), his nieces, Sarah, Melissa, Lindsay and Julia, nephews Tony and John, as well as great nieces and nephews. Ron will be remembered as a soft spoken gentle human being who touched the lives of all who knew him. We would like to thank Dr Law and his family for the special relationship they had with Ron and the care and support given.
Celebration of life will be held Thursday, June 14 at 2:00 pm at the Comox Valley Funeral Home, 1101 Ryan Road, Courtenay BC V9N-3R6. Reception to follow.
