Roy Frelone passed away on March 17, 2018 at Comox Hospice.
Born in Cumberland, B.C. on November 23, 1929.
Roy grew up in Cumberland, the son of Louis & Lena Frelone. An avid hunter & fisherman he loved the outdoors. Most of his working life was spent in the logging industry, much of it at Comox Lake and Campbell River.
For the past 56 years he made his home of Gartley Beach, enjoying life on the ocean with all it had to offer. Salmon fishing, digging clams and picking oysters were favorite activities and his vegetable garden was legendary. Produce was shared by family and neighbors, nieces, nephews and grandkids made a habit of raiding his pea patch!
Predeceased by: his parents, sister Laureen (Loor).
He will be missed by his wife Gertrude, son Rod (Dawna), daughter Cindy (Pete), numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews as well as many other family and friends
