June 30, 1948 - June 15, 2021
Russ Monsen was a strong and handsome young man, with a passion for art. Which many years later would see him going back to school in his late 40s to become an art teacher. He then went on to get his master's degree.
Many of his students remembered him and his calm, patient teaching style and his punny sense of humour with fondness.
When he was 25, he met the love of his life, Vicki. They would go on to get married and have five beautiful children, raising them with the same devotion that he also showed as one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
One of his favourite past times was walking hand-in-hand with his wife, sharing their hope of a paradise on earth. He loved to laugh and visit with his friends and family, all while sharing his special sense of humour, normally while enjoying a delicious meal another favourite pastime of his.
Russ Monsen was born to George and Grace Monsen in Prince Albert Saskatchewan. He was the oldest of seven siblings Myrna (Gerry), Rick (Annette), Barb (Roger), Ron, Judy (Brian) Randy (Terry) and Stan (Pat).
He was married to Vicki Monsen and had five children Kyle (Jessica), Jason (Saara), Sienna (Mike), Chelsea (Kevin), and Jordan. And nine grandchildren, Montana, Madi, Victoria, Asia, Kenya, Makayla, Madison, Ella, and Cadence.
Russ Monsen was loved by many and will be missed by all.
