Ruth H. Leach
1921 – 2016
Ruth passed away suddenly and peacefully at her home in Courtenay, B.C., in her 95th year. She was an amazing, independent woman who was always willing to share her abundant knowledge of health, wellness and gardening.
A “Child of the Depression”, Ruth and her family moved west from Saskatchewan to a small farm on Salt Spring Island. After finishing school, Ruth worked for B.C. Hydro in Victoria and Vancouver until her retirement. In 2006, she moved from the Wellesley in Victoria to the Comox Valley to be closer to family.
Ruth was predeceased by her brother, Howard Leach. She will be lovingly remembered by her four nieces Marnie, Liz, Sue and Jan and their extended families.
Memorial donations in Ruth’s name may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (Donations Dept. P.O. Box 7008, Station Main, London, ON, N5Y 5W7). At Ruth’s request, family will celebrate her life privately.
