Ruth Ann
July 30, 1933 - April 9, 2008
Passed away peacefully on April 9 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Comox at the young age of 74, with her loving husband by her side.
She was predeceased by her mother Margaret and stepfather Bill and sister Haroldine. Ruth is survived and will be greatly missed by her husband Jim of 49 years, daughter Karen and husband Brian and granddaughter Kaela of Victoria. Also sister and best friend Marlene and husband Gus from Comox and Doreen in Winnipeg, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Ruth was born in Climax, SK and lived most of her life in Winnipeg, MB and will be sadly missed by many friends and all who knew her. Ruth then came to the Valley after retirement in 1993.
There will be a "Celebration of Life" for Ruth at Sunnydale Golf and Country Club, 5291 North Island Hwy on Saturday, April 19th at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Ruth Turners memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
