Samuel Knopp was born in Germany on June 24, 1928 and passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital E.C.U. on Tuesday, January 29, 2002 at the age of 73 years. He was predeceased by his mother, father, and brothers, Gus and Reinhold. Sam is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Frankie; her sons: John (Joyce) Flahr, Harold (Melanie) Flahr; and daughter Viola Borgen; and their families. Also survived by his brothers: Jake (Emma), Herman (Jean); and sisters: Rose (Louis), Ernie (John); and their families. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 2nd, 2002 at 1:00 pm from the CHAPEL of PIERCY’S FUNERAL HOME, 440 England Ave., with Sister Pat Macaulay officiating, cremation to follow. After the service, there will be a time of fellowship in Piercy’s Glacier Tea Room. In lieu of flowers, donations made to St. Joseph’s Hospital Extended Care Unit would be appreciated. PIERCY’S FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORIUM have been entrusted with the arrangements.
