Elenor passed peacefully away Tuesday, Feb. 13th at "The Views", Comox, BC.
Elenor was born in Peace River Alberta to Beatrice and Joseph Ross.
She is survived by her loving husband Edward "Ted" Deadman, five children, Bonnie Gilchrist, Wayne Gilchrist, Neil Gilcrest, Robert Gilchrist and GlenGilchrist, step-son Tim (Lauren) and their daughter Miranda Deadman and step daughter Nancy (Rebecca) Deadman.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Rochelle "Shelley" Deadman.
Elenor loved flowers and was an avid gardener and crafter. She also enjoyed lake fishing, golf, motorhome trips, the Nahatlatch cabin and caring for her home. Elenor was a great cook as Ted can bear witness.
After a close friend required dialysis, Elenor was a strong and active advocate for a unit to be available in the Comox Valley. She had been active in the O.A.P. Union Bay Community Club, as treasurer of the BC Government Retired Employees Association.
Elenors family would like to thank Dr. Janet McLaughlin for 23 years of care, also the V.I.H.A. Home Support staff, especially Darcy and Loretta, who always made Elenor feel "special".
