September 30, 1938 to October 1, 2016

After a long struggle Sid passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side. Sid was born in Salmon Arm and spent his younger years in the interior. In 1970 he started working for Lacey Garbage Service in White Rock where he met and married the love of his life. In 1980 he moved his family to Courtenay where he worked as a mechanic and truck driver for the family business until his retirement. Sid loved tinkering, fishing, reading, family vacations, riding his Goldwing and cruising in his 66 Chevy convertible. He will be dearly missed by Judy, his wife of 45 years, his children Shawna(Hugh)Smythe, Scott( Chelsea), grandchildren Austin, Colter, Dakota, Ricky, Breanne, and Jaxon. Brothers Don(Cheryl), Ken(Roberta), sisters Sharon(Glen) McGill, Georgina(John) McKay, mother in law June Martin, brother in law Ken(Kim) Martin, sisters in law Tammy(Sid) Cross, Belinda(James) Matsuda and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on October 9, 2016 from 2- 4pm at 4224
